  • Bit all over the place.

    I didn't love this book. It was hard to get into. I liked the concept but the storyline was a bit silly ... or did the ridiculous character names just put me off? In the middle of the book the main character made a nice friend Lulu. That storyline was great (albeit the characters accent was so annoying to read) but just fizzled out, as did a lot of the stories within a story so was a bit hard to know where the climax was. Casper? Mimi? Everyone else at Society & even the lady at the start who rented out the flats in Paris. Why go so into the characters then? Mmmm this book just puzzled me. The book is like my review, a bit all over the place because it was so hard to make sense of. Read it if you you think a "tongue in cheek" (was that the point?) account of the fashion industry is your thing. I found it all a bit annoying.
