    I’m not sure how I feel about a book inside a book and an author inside an author. Felt somewhat egocentric and just a little arrogant. I’ve read every single thing Nora has written and this felt just a little like Nora inserted her own voice into the writing which I’ve never noticed before. I’m always lost in the characters & the relationship I’ve built with getting to know them through the series. But for some reason I felt as if I was reading a book from The author to me extolling her virtues and insinuating herself into the text instead of letting her characters shine through. You’re a fantastic writer Ms Roberts you don’t need to convince me of that. I look forward to the next Eve & Roarke Saga to cleanse my palate of this disappointment. VR

    What a disappointing read! Storyline ho-hum, with the impression Robb knew what the readers would score the book and prepared them to be ignored by her for any criticism with the story based on an author whose books are being used as a reason for a killer to use her storyline as the reason to kill because the author had not been encouraging when sent a manuscript. I felt Robb threw all our favourite characters at us without contributing at all to the storyline at all. With the amount it cost to purchase these books one would think one could expect more than about 400 words of nothing. I have read every book in this series of books and I think I have just read my last one. Very disappointing!!!

    Excellent as usual. The side characters all appeared in small roles rounding the story off well. Eve, Roarke and Peabody carried their usual strong characters still evolving in their relationships which I love. Can't wait till the next one.
