    This was a highly readable and very necessary wrap-up of what must be the most bizarre twelve months in politics in modern history. As a semi-detached observer, Wolfe’s book provided great context around the events an dynamics. Like a good bird-watcher’s guide it will help make sense - if that’s an appropriate term in the circumstances - of what comes next.
  • If even a fraction is true then we're in trouble

    This book goes a long way in explaining the antics of the current US President, from his utter petulance to his funny haircut (and that reminds me of another country's leader). Dyed-in-the-wool Republicans won't like it of course, but one must wonder whether even they must be having misgivings over his election, one that allegedly even he wasn't expecting to win. In the light of the subsequent "very stable genius" revelation I can't wait for the sequel. In short, if you want an insight into how the US election system can go horribly wrong then this is well worth the money.

    Solid, entertaining book. Enjoyable albeit scary. A little repetitive at times and maybe too much credit given to Bannon and his 'wise words' and predictions. Bannon really comes across as the ultimate nutter, possibly on par with Trump himself.
