    Hardly any action and seems to be a forever-standoff outside one city without the story moving to any different or interesting locations. No new characters. Feels way too lengthy. And this incredibly annoying Tindwyl/Sazeed subplot of looking into pasts texts to find some clues about mists or whatever. You're always waiting for something to happen and it hardly ever does. It's like Sanderson is trying to build some epic political struggle and it doesn't work. There's no sense of geography, history or character depth. And all this 'burning' swallowed metals is so absurd; possibly the most contrived and unbelievable 'system' of magic in any fantasy I have ever read.
