  • slow finale

    I was actually glad to FINALLY reach the conclusion. In my opinion, it was way too long and drawn out. It became repetitive and both main characters ended up annoying me so much that I began to skip whole passages as the Queen agonised ad infinitum ...will she, won't she? The author left the ending open so that I suspect he might return to the series. I certainly won't be reading it. On the plus side, good battle scenes, very nasty baddies and the minor characters were somewhat interesting. As this trilogy is his debut, I will look at his next story ...just no more of this one!
