  • One of my favourites

    I was given this book by a stranger on a bus when i was 16. As soon as I read the first few pages, I didn't resurface until the end. I've just finished rereading it, now as a mother and my God did I cry. The story is so beautifully written and the characters are so easy to understand despite the trials and growth. This book will take you on a journey!!!
  • Not as good as I remembered

    Some things from your teenage years should not be revisited, and this book is one of them. I remember devouring this book (and all the others in the series) when 12/13 years old, and after re reading it some 20 years later I was really disappointed at how bad I found this book to be! Lucky it was free...

    This was one of the few books I thoroughly enjoyed reading when I was younger. It is so sick and twisted but so beautiful at the same time. I love how much love and dedication Cathy has to her siblings and I can completely relate to every aspect of her character. This will always be a favorite for me.

    I'm emotionally exhausted - what a book! For once a good story beautifully written. So sad! But you just have to keep turning the pages...I have already downloaded the next in the collection and can't wait to start reading - although I am scared to embark on another emotional journey and scared of the book taking over my life as this one did!

    Fantastic book, couldn't put it down. Andrews painted this book so realistically, you felt all the pain & happiness these poor children felt. Great novel can't wait to read the sequel.
