As he walked out of the cinema, Gavin knew that his life would change forever. This is the story of his first year of 'The Greening of Gavin'.

Gavin's philosophy is a simple one and he describes it as this;

"An Ordinary Australian Man Who Has A Green Epiphany Whilst Watching A Documentary, Gets a Hybrid Car, Plants A Large Organic Vegetable Garden, Goes Totally Solar, Lowers Consumption, Feeds Composts Bins and Worms, Harvests Rainwater, Raises Chickens, Makes Cheese and Soap, and Eats Locally. All In The Effort To Reduce Our Family's Carbon Footprint So We Can Start Making A Difference For Our Children & Future Generations To Come."

    After visiting Gavin's home during one of the annual Sustainable House Day's, I was motivated to purchase my own greenhouse and finally get some fruit trees. Reading about how Gavin got to where he is now, gives me more motivation to share what I've learnt with others.
