    Was so excited for the release of the final novel, but sadly i feel it should not have been written at all, not a great ending to a much loved series, it seems it was only written for the fans and the fans are disappointed, so rushed and had no depth, it started getting good until discovered i was near the end of the book. sadly the ending was rushed, it could of reached another 50 pages and had a little more depth, i would give it 1 star but i am too much a fan. Short and sweet was not the case in this final novel.

    Absolutely loved the series - but this book is a travesty! A 14 year old would have written a better plot line... And the useless details (what sookie ate, which room she cleaned, her retirement and savings plan!???!!) so mundane and BORING! Thank goodness the TV show does not follow the books anymore... This ending is an insult to the fans who have loved and supported this series, clearly a half arsed attempt to cash in one more time by Ms Harris

    After reading the whole series I had high expectations for the final book and could not have been more disappointed in what I read. The writing is sloppy and Charlaine attempts to destroy the image of much loved characters in a vicious way that leaves you questioning if you were reading the same series. The major plot line is also seriously flawed with Copley making a 'wish' with the devil to get the cluviel for so he can make another 'wish'- how did no editor realise that this deal makes no sense.... Why not just make his wish with the devil in the first place instead of going down the track of the cluviel dor? However the worst of all is that the ending provides no character development with almost everyone ending up in either the same or a worse position than they were in to begin with. It took me 3 days to read the book because I had to keep putting it down as it was a painful read. I'm disappointed this is the way she chose to end this series.

    Terrible ending to one of my favorite series!!! So disappointing and not worth the money at all. It was like she was thrown with Sam because he provided the least complicated ending.

    Not as good as I was hoping for a finale. Ends were tied up nicely but felt like every character had come to say goodbye. I would've preferred they all went out with a bang, not a fizzle.
