    I’ve really enjoyed the Outlander series on Starz. The actors all portray their characters brilliantly, but nothing beats the written word! My trusty iPhone passes the time during the hour long bus trip each day. I can’t wait for the next novel to be released.

    I was snared within seconds of opening Ms. Gabaldon's first book. Since that time I have read and reread the 'Outlander' series and have just finished 'Written in my heart's own blood'. At the half way point I was wondering how some of the sub plots would be successfully brought to conclusion. But she did it, properly satisfactorily and elegantly. When I was about three quarters of the way through I found myself warily watching the page numbers and deliberately slowing my reading pace trying to eke out the journey -- wanting to know but reluctant to have it all end. But end it must, with that sense of reluctant pleasure, like a wonderful holiday that must come to a close. I confess to curiosity as to what happens to William and will Ben be discovered. How will Bree and Roger deal with their new circumstances. How have they impacted the timeline if at all? I could wax poetic for several more paragraphs but will spare you all by simply saying thank you for such rich engaging books.

    Great to catch up with the characters you come to love! Sad to say goodbye to those you loose on the way. Cried for days over Henry Christian. Will William unite with the Fraser family in time? Hope so. William find true love like Jamie & Clare? Hope so. Love little Fanny, hope she is a keeper. Well done Diana!
