    I watched the movie first and straightaway knew I wanted to read the book. I wasn't disappointed as the book helped to make a clearer picture of the science behind this story. Made me feel as if I was there right beside him seeing those incredible landscapes. Loved it and highly recommend.

    A very enjoyable read. I loved the detail of the book and the research must have been very interesting. The book compliments the film wonderfully. If I've seen the film of a title I don't enjoy reading. However in this case I'm looking forward to seeing the film on my flight from Europe home. Actually can't wait as I may download on iTunes !

    All those books I read as a kid led to this. A story that everything a space nerd could ask for. Suspense right to the end, loved it.

    Having read some of the reviews here, I couldn't resist. So? Not nearly as good as some have made out. At times had to force myself to read it. Far too much MacGyver (spelling?) on Mars science blah blah for my liking but still a gripping read. Good humour moments. Abrupt unfulfilling end though.
