Very enjoyable. A lot of characters and was a little bit tedious at times. But certainly worth a read. The ending is quite spectacular.

A beautifully written book. I enjoyed reading about the characters' lives and the wealth of dressmaking information. I would definitely read more of her books.

Finished this book in two days. Held my interest all the way through. The characters are so interesting and just that, "characters." Such sadness, pathos and humour. Cried and laughed all the way through it. Now to the movie.

Funny at times, although the writing doesn't always flow.
A story about a town of characters and the fall out of gossip and bullying.
I thoroughly loved this book. It unfolded gently but tragically, punctuated by descriptions of beautiful fabric and clothing to the point where one could well imagine them. I deducted one star only because I felt the climax of the story could have been more satisfying.
