    Great action as usual but its plot lines and characters seemed rather simplified compared to earlier books. Slowing the pace at times to create depth and empathy, unexpected surprise, would have won me more. Not to say that I could write it! ­čśä

    well, you can't bring dragons realistically to life, you cannot ride them or talk with them. what a load of drivel this book is. it's a puerile kids' story that panders to hollywood "big screen action" genres and, as such, has about the same substance & value. and, of course, everything turns out nice again...... Biggles books have a higher entertainment value, Indiana Jonez has a higher credibility factor, and Noddy has a stronger literary content, rest assured that not all Australians are as full of it as this author's works

    If Jurassic Park met Godzilla/terrifying dragons and was then put on steroids, The Great Zoo of China would be the product. Action packed to keep you on your toes and be sure to read Reilly's explanation about the book at the end! Definitely worth reading!!

    As always, Matthew Reilly has taken us on a whirlwind ride through the Great Zoo of China, making it difficult to put this book down. There is no relief from the twists and turns that happen throughout. Thanks Matthew for giving us a female hero at last that would rival Lara Croft! Thoroughly enjoyable,

    Another great read by Reilly. This is the first book that I can recall in my adult life that I read in one 24 hour period cover to cover. Loved it.

    Take a deep breath before you start reading, you're going to need it. The story flows beautifully & is wonderfully believable. A great read when you have two or three days that you can use just for yourself ... you might find you forget to go to bed so make sure you don't start it on a week night ;-) A highly enjoyable read ... & the movie will be out ... when?!?

    Not his best book but still enjoyable. I didn't connect with the main character, CJ, like I have with Matthew's other heroes but, a few chapters in I couldn't put it down. Fantastic storyline & such a great imagination! Worth the buy.
